From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lighthouse at Point Danger, Coolangatta, Queensland - memorial to Lieutenant James Cook of HM Bark Endeavour who named the Point and described the area during the voyage of 1770.

Note that:

  • the South and East columns are shorter to allow the light to be seen from seaward;
  • the local volunteer sea rescue organisation has a radar mounted on the light tower.

I took this picture (June 2005).
