Au Revoir Simone is an indie pop band from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York that formed in late 2003. The group consists of Erika Forster (vocals/keyboard), Annie Hart (vocals/keyboard), and Heather D'Angelo (vocals/drum machine/keyboard). Forster and Hart became friends while traveling by train from Vermont to New York.
The threesome played at both the Treasure Island Music Festival and the Monolith Festival in September 2007.

- The band's name comes from a line Pee-Wee Herman says to a minor character (named Simone) in Tim Burton's Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.
- Their songs "Through the Backyards" and "Back in Time" from their album "Verses of Comfort, Assurance and Salvation" were used in Grey's Anatomy.
- Their song "Stay Golden" was used in the 2007 film Anna M. by Michel Spinosa.[1] and in the trailer for Justin Theroux's Dedication (2007), starring Billy Crudup, Mandy Moore, and Tom Wilkinson [2].
- They performed "Stay Golden", "Sad Song" and "Dark Halls" live at Robert Normand's fashion show in Paris for Fall/Winter 2007.
