Talk:Atypic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The person who asked for this article to be removed obviously has no knowledge of the subject. Andrew Turner is one of the most successful of contemporary electronic composers, currently part of the group Plaid. Atypic was a name he used for some of his early work, some of which was released by the renowned Warp Records. --Dala0 17:36, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Is this the same Andrew Turner as Aim (musician)? If so these articles should probably be merged and this page made into a redirect. --TeaDrinker (talk) 18:10, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- No, that is someone else. --Dala0 13:20, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

- Either that or some external references need to be provided, as quickly as possible. If he is "one of the most successful of contemporary electronic composers" there should be no problem in finding third-party references that assert notability in a verifiable way. - Great work; these are some of the best references I've ever seen for a musician (all except the Wikipedia one -- Wikipedia isn't considered a credible source). Now the task will be to integrate these citations into the body of the article, because they're not lending any notability on the talk page. Just leafing through the citations, though, it's starting to seem to me as if this information would be best organized as a paragraph within what might be a more complete article about the group Plaid, which I see is at Plaid (band). On the other hand, I don't know much about what makes band articles useful. Now that this will not be popping up in the list of speedy-tagged articles any more, I think I'll leave the precise arrangement of this information to those more experienced than I.
