Atsumi District, Aichi

Atsumi District (渥美郡 Atsumi-gun?) was a district located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the district had an estimated population of 21,841 and a density of 265.77 persons per km². The total area was 82.18 km².

  • August 20, 2003 — The towns of Tahara and Akabane merged to form the new city of Tahara, thereby leaving the district.
  • October 1, 2005 — The town of Atsumi merged into the city of Tahara. Atsumi District was dissolved as a result of this merger.
