Atriceps Island

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Atriceps Island (60°47′S, 45°9′W) is the southernmost of the Robertson Islands, lying 3 miles (4.8 km) south of the southeast end of Coronation Island in the South Orkney Islands. Named by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS), following their survey of 1948-49, after the colony of blue-eyed shags (Phalacrocorax atriceps) nesting on the island.
