Atomix is a popular Mexican magazine among video game consumers in Latin America. Published monthly, it was created by a group of video game and Anime fans in 1996. Its original website was named Limit-X and it was the biggest Spanish-language online community about video game and Anime industry. It began as an independent project by Oscar Noriega (Akira) and Jesus Zhu. Limit-X was renamed Atomix just before the first number was published.
Atomix was the first publication in Latin America that discussed all game consoles; earlier Latin American gaming magazines (such as Club Nintendo) focused on a single console. Atomix continues to be a large online community and has a weekly TV show and with international distribution in Latin America.

Atomix creates a yearly Gamer Choice Award event, in which Mexican gamers vote for their favorite games and the creators are awarded by the staff. It is the first and only event of it's kind to date, and has always presented an interesting show for the audience that can experience live music, trailers from upcoming games, interviews with game creators and also play demos in small game stations. Some of the groups that have played music at the event are The Minibosses and Moderato.

The first season of the TV show named Atomix TV was aired on Canal Once from November of 2003 until February of 2005.
The second season began on November 12 2005, on Animax (an Anime specialized cable TV channel) distributed in 19 countries in the Latin American region.
