Atomic mass constant

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In physics and chemistry, the atomic mass constant, mu, is one twelfth of the mass of an unbound atom of the carbon-12 nuclide at rest and in its ground state.[1] It is equal to 1 u (one unified atomic mass unit). Its CODATA value is 1.66053886 10-27 kg.[2]
