AtomFilms is an award-winning broadband entertainment network offering original short subject films, animations, and series by independent creators. The company was founded in 1998 in Seattle by Mika Salmi.

Hit AtomFilms titles include Angry Kid, Star Wars fan films, JibJab's This Land, I Can't Afford My Gasoline, and many more. AtomFilms is available on the Internet at AtomFilms.com, various mobile partners, including AT&T, Alltel and Verizon's VCast mobile entertainment service; and on services such asXbox and iTunes. AtomFilms is primarily supported by advertising.

On August 10, 2006, Atom Entertainment was bought by MTV Networks with all its properties, including AtomFilms, Addicting Games, Addicting Clips (renamed AtomUploads) and Shockwave.com.[1]
