[edit] Affilation of ASN
I need a little help in determining if the various affilations ASN currently is a part of (CTV, A-Channel, and Citytv) are all secondary or otherwise. MapleLeafFan04 17:08, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- At this point I would say none. While it's certainly worth noting it carries programming from all of these, it's no more an affiliate than NTV is an affiliate of Global (the present consensus there is that it's independent). — stickguy (:^›)— home - talk - 12:35, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Adding info
I think it's important to add the point that all cabe companies in Atlantic Canada are required to carry ASN on basic cable. I would add it myself, but I am not 100% sure of this but I do believe that it is true. 70.31.137.12 23:26, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, and interestingly, they aren't. A sample condition of licence for EastLink Halifax: "The licensee is authorized to distribute, at its option, the programming service Atlantic Satellite Network (ASN), received via satellite, provided that it is distributed on an unrestricted channel of the basic service." (emphasis added) [1] As far as I know, it's the same in the rest of Atlantic Canada. — stickguy (:^›)— || talk || 02:44, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Interesting, I was always under the impression that it was mandatory for all cable distributers to carry it on basic cable. Apparently not then, lol 74.109.62.238 19:27, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] What's with "Aviation Security" on ASN?
Did someone fiddle around with the logo? -DanCBJMS via 134.117.168.237 03:58, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Market templates
Nine different market templates is far too many to have on a single article. The whole thing needs to be rethought, stat. Bearcat 08:51, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
