Atlantic City CardSharks

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Atlantic City CardSharks were a professional indoor football team that played in the NIFL (National Indoor Football League) for a single season.

Founded: 2004
Home field: Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey

They were 9-5 in the regular season, with wins against the Carolina Rays (2), Staten Island Extreme (2), Fort Wayne Freedom, Evansville Bluecats (2), Ohio Valley Greyhounds, and the Greenville Riverhawks. The Cardsharks lost in the first round of the 2004 NIFL Playoffs to the Lexington Horsemen (final score: 45-25). The team folded after only playing one season in 2004 after tremendous mismanagement by the ownership group headed by Mario Giammarco.
