In 1995, the company began franchising and expanding across the country. As of late 2003, over 160 locations in 24 states have opened up. The restaurant serves fresh bread, desserts, salads, and a variety of sandwiches and soups.

The motto "The sun never rises twice on our bread" means that the bread is never more than a day old. Leftover breads and bakery items are usually donated to local charities. These charities include but are not limited to; churches, soup kitchens, rehab centers, homeless shelters, etc.

[edit] Catering

Atlanta Bread Company also has a catering service that caters to many businesses, medical buildings, and private residences. The catering menu is very similar to the in store menu.
