Atlanta is a genus of pelagic marine gastropod molluscs in the family Atlantidae. They are sometimes called heteropods.
The shells of the snails in this genus are small, seldom as much as 10 mm in width, fragile, transparent, spiral, of planorbid shape, compressed into a sharp peripheral flange. The animal is capable of retracting into its shell.
