The overall festival normaly concludes on the third sunday with street dancing, Higantes, blessings, and other activities scheduled during the week(s) prior to the Sto. Niño which the Catholic church celebrates on the 3rd sunday of January.

c.1212 12 Datu's arrived from Borneo in Aklan and held a fiest in honor of the {kilo} {libo} {thousand} local natives Aetaeon's
The spaniards arrived in the Bisiyan islands c.1565AD renamed it in honor of thier King Philipp and introduced christianity to the local people(s).
Sometime afterwards, c.???? Santo Niño was combined with Ati-atihan festival.
