[edit] Finally!
Finally found someone who may have online access to automotive engineering journals and the expertise to find the right articles! Yes? Don't destroy my hopes.
If you'd consider Trochilic engine strange and unsourced, what do you think of Oxyhydrogen#Applications. By letting the current produced in the car's alternator electrolyse water and merging the oxyhydrogen produced into the carburetor, miraculous gains in efficency and reduction in emissions can be achieved. Or at least the companies selling this stuff want us make believe. See User:Pjacobi/Hydrogen_quackery#Companies.
Interested in checking the sources our optmistic co-contributors are providing?

- Well, I've had a quick read through the article. I'll have to read the refs but it looks like a duck. :-) --Athol Mullen (talk) 23:28, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for giving this look. Being able to explicitely point out, that references are misquoted would be the final straw to make this collapse. Or at least shrink it to realistic dimensions, as I think that hydrogen admixture does have positive effects, especially emission-wise, but would hardly be able to give net efficency gain. --Pjacobi (talk) 08:57, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] about the buchanan cobra
hi my names Geoff Buchanan i live in ludington, Michigan, USA. I was wondering is it possible to find another one of these cobras i would like to restore one in the future and seeing as how you know where a few are you might be the person to talk to. Im not sure if these are in relation to my family tree or not but as a novice item id love to have one know what i mean, however you seem to be very smart and know your way around an engine so any advice and details you can give me would be great.
thank you, WGB —Preceding unsigned comment added by Network13 (talk • contribs) 18:44, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Copyvio in Air brake (road vehicle)
I'm not challenging the revision you made to this article, but I wanted to clear up something. I reviewed the deletion log for this article and there seems to be a misunderstanding about the copyright status of the California Commercial Driver's Handbook. According to this link here the page is indeed in the public domain. But alas, whoever insists upon adding this information is doing a horrible job at it. Just thought you should know. --ErgoSum88 (talk) 01:53, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I knew that it had been removed as a copyvio, so when it was dumped back in, I reverted it back out. I'm sure that there was a discussion about it's copyright status, and it's possible that the link declaring it to be public domain may be more recent than the discussion. If I get a chance, I might try to check on the copyright status and integrate the text properly if appropriate. --Athol Mullen (talk) 06:25, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Response
Oh wow... I was in Cardiff and took a few shots down there (around Main/Veronica) back in November last year. I've emailed you the details (as it's not actually a Wikipedia project as such). Thanks very much. Orderinchaos 08:45, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Map of NSW Highways.png
Thanks for that! Fixing it now. RE: the unlisted highways, It's an aim to include them sometime during the week as it takes sometime to add as it uses a lot of my computers resources since it's a 200MB file. I can save as SVG but I've got issues somewere as it fails to save. Bidgee (talk) 02:04, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
