Heads up, there's a little suprise on your userpage. Bardofcornish (talk) 22:24, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

So sorry I took so long to reply to your e-mail! First of all, I am so sorry about the accidental deltion. I think what probably happened is that I was adding a refrence and put the / of the wrong side of ref. That for some reason confuses the browser, I'll be more careful of that in the future!

By the way, I think it was you who made a re-direct for Elizabeth Keckley (forgot to check)...thanks so much!

I think this article could probably be a featured article or at least a good article, but there are a few things that need to fixed--like some of the section headings. Some of them sound more like chapters in a book than generic headings (which they should be). Take a look at other biographies to see what I mean. Also, there is one quotation from Mrs. Lincoln and Ms. Keckly that is much to long.

Sometimes when I try to fix these sort of things you revert it. I've been editing wiki for a while, and from that I've learned a few basic style rules. Also, I've read wikipedia style guides. If your unsure about one of my edits, check out a wiki style guide (there's a difference between style in the "real" world and style here).

Oh, and on your question of what intersted me in Keckly? Well, I've always been interested in women in the Civil War, because it was a interesting time in feminist history. There's lots of Civil War women who claimed fame in their won right--Clara Barton, Harriet Beecher Stowe.

One last request--if it's not inconvenient, could you put your queries and comments on my talk page or the article's talk page? Thanks.

It seems you haven't been editing Keckly in a while. Are you finished with revisions? If you are, I'd just like to fix a few titles, and then I'll nominate for GA (honestly I have no idea how to do that but I'll figure it out!). Bardofcornish 01:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
