Could someone please add a link to the Criticism_of_religion article, at Criticism_of_religion?` —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.243.2.30 (talk) 08:17, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] A start

Would anyone be willing to help me create an initial design of this page? I'm not really handy with making things from scratch, but I'd be really willing to keep updating this page after it's conception. --GeorgeTopouria 20:10, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

I have made a few changes and added subpages. I feel that this portal probable does not need the featured picture or news. Alan Liefting 08:42, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV Dispute

The did you know fact regarding Hitler - "... that once appointed to the Chancellorship of Germany, Hitler banned freethought organizations and launched an “anti-godless” movement, aimed at stamping out atheism?" - seems awfully misleading. In general, this portal seems to be biased towards atheism. I am not speaking for or against the belief, but I feel Wikipedia should maintain a standard of neutrality. This did you know appears to have a more persuasive purpose than an informative one, and possible falls under Reductio ad Hitlerum. --WallaWalla23 (talk) 20:28, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

I have removed the info in question. -- Alan Liefting-talk- 10:55, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Symbol for Atheism

I noticed that the Atheism topics seem to use the Atom of Atheism logo. I think that was the logo used by AAI for some time but it seems that lately people seem to be using an 'A'. Lately since the emergence of the Out Campaign it seems a lot more people are identifying themselves as Atheists by using Image:ScarletA.png. I've seen this on a lot of blogs and see it more often than the Atom picture. Perhaps it's time to change it? (It just seems like it now the de facto and most popular symbol to identify Atheism)

Why not employing the IPU logo?Fractious Jell (talk) 18:09, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Personally, I'm not a fan of the "Out campaign" (atheists don't get half the grief that gays, lesbians and bisexuals get) nor the "Brights campaign" (the name is incredibly cringemaking) and I'm an atheist! Frankly, I don't see the need for any symbols or campaigns. Autarch (talk) 17:46, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Estranged?

Don't you think the portal is rather alienated? Why don't we broaden it to a freethought or irreligion portal? -- Fractious Jell (talk) 15:41, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
