Atharan Hazari

Atharan Hazari is a small town at the intersection of the rivers Jhelum and Chenab in Jhang District, Punjab, Pakistan.
It is said that when Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi came here he had a force of 18,000 in Urdu "athara hazar", for this reason it is called Athara Hazari. atharan hazari is a ploise station but the biggest town of police station is mari shah sakhira[Jawad haider shah s/o ghulam murtaza shah]
