Atchison Middle School

Atchison Middle School is located in extreme northeastern Kansas. The building itself is only blocks from the Missouri River and has recently been completely renovated. During the renovation, great efforts were taken to keep the history of the building alive. If you take a tour you will see that the historical detail remains in tack.

Atchison Middle School has been awarded a Certificate of Merit as part of the 5th Annual Challenge Awards. The award recognizes schools for outstanding achievement and uncommon accomplishment based on Kansas Assessment results for 2006 and other qualifying factors, specifically the number of students taking the test, and socio-economic status of those taking the test. Atchison Middle School is honored as a result of its performance on the 2006 7th grade Kansas Reading Assessment. Atchison Middle School is one of 80 schools (including elementary, middle, and high schools) throughout the state receiving a Certificate of Merit.
