Asynjur

In Norse mythology and Norse paganism, Asynjur are the goddesses, including both Æsir and Vanir, and sometimes even giantesses who are married to the gods:

• Frigg — chief goddess, wife of Odin
• Freyja (a Vanir hostage) — (Freya) ranked together with Frigg
• Gefjun — a virgin goddess
• Sif — wife of Thor
• Iðunn — (Idun) wife of Bragi
• Nanna — wife of Baldr
• Skaði (a giantess) — wife of Njörðr
• Gerð (a giantess) — wife of Freyr
• Hel (a giantess) — daughter of Loki
