The ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne is a French Basketball team, playing in the city of Villeurbanne (suburb of Lyon). The club was Founded in 1948 and has since won 15 championships and 7 'coupes de France,' which makes it the club with the most titles in France. The club managed to overcome financial difficulties in 1992, and has risen to the top of the European Basketball League. They play their home games at L'Astroballe. Under the guidance of Greg Beugnot, ASVEL is now one of the best teams in France.
