Asuncion is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 60,383 people in 11,975 households.

In 2004, Barangays Igangon, Kipalili, Sabangan, Sawata, Santo Niño, and Mamangan was transferred to the created municipality of San Isidro, Davao del Norte.[1]
