[edit] License tagging for Image:To pentagon 3 17 n84.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:To pentagon 3 17 n84.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:16, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Just to let you know, I marked said image for speedy deletion because you have indicated that the image is for noncommercial use only. An image that is available for noncommercial use only is unfortunately incompatible with Wikipedia's licenses, and therefore it's got to go. I'll say this - I like the image, and I think it would have made a great addition to the article. However, due to the incompatible license, we can't use it. If you have a similar image that can be released under the GFDL or a compatible Creative Commons license (Attribution or Attribution-ShareAlike), or an image that is in the public domain or can be released into the public domain, we'd love to have it.
Also, on an unrelated note, you don't have to sign with four tildes in edit summaries. When you do an edit summary, your username, talk page, and contributions are automatically linked next to your edit summary. Besides that, the four tildes don't transclude in the summary, so they just show up as four tildes.
Anyway, if you have any questions, drop me a line. SchuminWeb (Talk) 02:23, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for explanation of why photo had to be omitted. I'll see if I can contact anyone who is willing to release a similar photo into the public domain.Astuteoak 12:12, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
