From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The text of the article "Nikah al Misyar" was taken (except for the sections "Misyar marriage in practice" and "Shi'a view") from an article by Khalid Chraibi entitled "Misyar marriage", which appears in a blog of the same name, in which it is stated that "the article can be freely reproduced in its entirety or in excerpts for non-commercial purposes, on condition that the author and the source be clearly identified."

[edit] Your contributions to Fatwa

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as those in Fatwa, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! Sandstein 18:54, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello, I'm not sure I understand your observation. First, let's keep things separate : the Misyar marriage is one article, and the fatwa article is something else. There is no reason to quote me on misyar marriage when talking about the fatwa article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aster77 (talkcontribs)

This is not about Misyar marriage, this is about Fatwa. I'm sorry for the effort you put into your contribution (although it's still available via the "history" tab). Although we encourage editors to be bold, it's not recommended that you try to rewrite a whole lengthy article that's been the subject of much discussion. I recommend that you work on individual sections - but before you do, you might to want to read the pages WP:NOR and WP:NPOV. If you would like to make a really major change to the article, it's recommended to discuss it at the talk page first. Thanks for your understanding, and thanks for your contributions. I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have. Sandstein 19:04, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Aster77 : Ok. Thanks for your observations. I've read the pages you indicated to me and rephrased my additions accordingly. I hope they now fit with the spirit of the article. I think the Obeikan addition is very useful for the reader, to set the fatwa understanding in perspective.

I hope to have been of service. I'll leave the assessment of the Fatwa article to its other editors now, but here's a hint: When editing discussion pages like this one, just add four tildes at the end: ~~~~. This creates a signature for you and helps others to identify your statements. For details see WP:SIG. Best, Sandstein 04:59, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. Andjam 11:46, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your observation. I'll keep that in mind. Sorry if I mishandled the system. Aster77 20:10, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits to Qur'an

Please remember to maintain a neutral POV and don't use wikipedia as a soapbox. If your agenda is to remove misconceptions, then do so by citing neutral and verifiable sources and expanding articles on the subject, rather than using indiscriminate external links. Thank you for your contributions. Peter Deer (talk) 07:51, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Islamic calendar. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. ITAQALLAH 22:48, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
