Astro Zombie is the Wiki username of playwright Max Sparber.

Sparber was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1968. He has spent much of his adult life in Los Angeles, CA, Omaha, NE, and the French Quarter of New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina, Sparber relocated back to Minneapolis.

Sparber's plays have been produced throughout the country, but most frequently at Omaha's Blue Barn Theatre. Sparber has also appeared as an actor, and worked for many years as a theater critic, including a three-year stint at Minneapolis's City Pages.

Sparber has a wide range of interests, including fad dances from the 1960s, liquor, exploitation films, outsider music, and vintage pornography.
