[edit] Oldest Swedish person
It would appear that Astrid is roughly 111.25 years old as of this writing - can someone find a source for this claim/birthdate? I can't read Swedish and almost all of the Google results are about this Wikipedia page/mirrors. -- nae'blis 15:57, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- There's a Swedish website called birthday.se which draws its information from the public directory of living persons. There you can find that Astrid Zachrison was born in 1895 (verified). I've added the reference and removed the tag. /Dunord 23:28, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed so, and she is nearing the all-time Swedish record at age 112: fingers crossed. Extremely sexy 15:04, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- This happens on October 6, 2007, if whoever added that fact to the main article did it right. It should be noted on the talk page though because Ryoung122 is correct, Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Cheers, CP 16:53, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Note there is some dispute over the death day of Elsa Moberg: the newspapers reported her death as Nov 27, which would have made her 112 years 150 days. So, unless/until Ms. Zachrisson reaches 112 years 151 days, her claim is disputed.Ryoung122 08:49, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I've checked with the authorities in my home country Sweden, and they say that Elsa Moberg passed away on November 20, 2001. So, Astrid Zachrison is the new Swedish recordholder. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.248.245.161 (talk) 09:06, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for confirming this. Extremely sexy 16:01, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Death
So sad to hear that she died ONE day short of turning 113. Interactive Fiction Expert/Talk to me 10:20, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- No, in fact she died on her 113th birthday according to the Swedish tax authority. The death seemed to have occured just 30 minutes after midnight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.248.203.51 (talk) 15:23, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

- Then tell me why all fifteen Swedish news sources who mentioned the subject got it wrong? They didn't. Her death happened about 11:29 PM on the 14th. The government actually operates at times on a time zone not their own. Star Garnet (talk) 22:43, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
