i can't find anything in the times indicating that Aston Manor was seeking to be a county borough itself, or what it thought about being added to birmingham.

apparently though Birmingham had opposed its incorporation as a borough.

from the vob map it didn't look like a particularly viable unit, anyway, with the lozells and aston units not really looking towards each other so much as to birmingham. and it was more dense than the most dense district is today. Morwen - Talk 22:00, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
