The article says: " A modern descendant of this family is Bill Clinton, former President of the United States of America who once visited the village during a business trip to nearby Chequers." Perhaps this should be verified as he was born William Jefferson Blythe III and as far as I know, was not related to the Clinton family. David Warner 17:37, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

I have followed up the reference to Bill Clinton which I agree sounded most unlikely. As expected there is no evidence of a connection betwen the step-father of BC nor any record in the public domain that he visited Aston Clinton whilst on a visit to Chequers. (Incidentally I vaguely recall BC visiting Washington in Northumberland for the same reason.) I have therefore deleted this reference in the article. If evidence were to come to light it can of course be added back in with citations addedTmol42 15:11, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
