Talk:ASTD

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an article about the the largest organization in the training field (comparable to what NASA or ESA is for their fields) and if other very similar organizations such as the AICC, the Association for Career and Technical Education, the European Network of Information Centres and many more smaller educational organizations have their own article, I don't understand why this organization shouldnt. I don't work for the ASTD, nor am I a member of it.

Please also note that the same article already existed for over 1 year in the German Wikipedia.Learning dave 16:27, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Speedy declined as there's a plausible assertion of notability. The article has been {{prod}}ed, though, for lack of presented external coverage. — Scientizzle 16:50, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I added an independent source and a little more info. Please note: Because the ASTD is so huge (and therefore certainly belongs here), it's actually hard to find many links that are not from any of the ASTDs sub-organizations or ASTD-news sites. Learning dave 18:14, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
