Astro Aruna is a 24-hour Indonesian language television network available on the Astro satellite television service. It was launched on August 31, 2006, which makes it the first and only television network on the Astro platform that is broadcast entirely in Indonesian.
Popular on this network are Indonesian dramas, that are on broadcast round-the-clock. All of the Indonesian shows on Astro Aruna are made by Multivision Plus, which is a production house.
Luna Maya is the ambassador for Astro Aruna.

Before the start and after the completion of a programme, the intro of Astro Aruna can be seen. It starts with a mix of several patterns and is followed by a slightly purple butterfly that is stationary on top of an Astro Aruna banner. Moments after that, the butterfly flutters out of sight and this is when the actual logo of Astro Aruna will appear.
