Astra 600
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Astra 600 was a shortened version of the Astra 400 in 9x19mm Parabellum. It was a heavy, blowback-action, single stack pistol. The gun was made in Spain for the Germans during WW2 and about 60000 pistols were made. Only the first 10500 were delivered though before the end of the war. The gun was rugged and of high quality and accuracy, but the blowback-operation of the gun gave a snappy, distinct recoil despite the heavy weight. Because of it's ruggedness and weight, it was in some countries nicknamed "the Pipewrench".
