ASTM C 1112

ASTM C 1112 is a standard Guide for Application of Radiation Monitors to the Control and Physical Security of Special Nuclear Material.

This standard was created by the American Standard for Testing and Materials ASTM International and published in June 1999. This guide deals with technical documentation to give information for selecting, calibrating, testing, and operating concerning one part of a nuclear material control or security plan for nuclear materials. This concerns radiation monitors and searching pedestrians, packages, and motor vehicles for concealed Special Nuclear Material (SNM). SNM are commercially available in three different forms: Small Hand-Held Monitors, Automatic Pedestrian Monitors, and Automatic Vehicle Monitors.
