Aspe is a town and municipality located in the comarca of Vinalopó Medio, in the province of Alicante, Spain. It has an area of 70.9 km² and, according to the 2003 census, a total population of 17,423 inhabitants and a population density of 245.74 inhab/km². The town is located in the valley of the river Vinalopó, 25 km from Alicante city. The economy of Aspe is based on textile and footwear industries and farming (vegetables and fruits).
