Asociación Deportiva Atenas is a sports club in Córdoba, Argentina, founded in 1938, mostly known for its achievements in basketball. Their home arena is Polideportivo Carlos Cerutti.

The club was founded on March 7, 1938 mainly by former members of unsuccessful New Tennis Club, and currently participates in several different sports including Athletics, Chess, Biking, Swimming, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate and above all, Basketball.

Is in that sport that the club became internationally recognised, with great success already prior to the creation of the Argentine national league, in the 1980s.

Atenas was the hegemony basketball team in Córdoba, wining the local championship consecutively between 1948 and 1957 (exception made of 1953).

Once the professional LNB league was created, Atenas was the national champion in the years 1987, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1998, 1999, 2002 and 2003. Atenas won the Liga Sudamericana (South American League) in 1997, 1998 and 2004, and the former South American Clubs Championship in 1993, 1994, and 1996.

Many important players acted in Atenas, namely Fabricio Oberto, Marcelo Milanesio, Héctor Campana, Patricio Prato, Gabriel Mikulas, Diego Logrippo, Fernando Prato, Diego Osella and Juan Espil among others.
