Aslan Faction is an Electro-industrial/Aggrotech band conceived and formed in late 1999 by Anthony Mather and Lee Lauer near Oxford in the UK.

[edit] History

The name "Aslan Faction" was formed from two radically different ideologies. Aslan, a character from author C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia, is a representation of Jesus Christ in a make believe world.[citation needed] Faction is a group usually having strong, radical beliefs often employing violent methods. The duo recorded a series of self-released CD-Rs and internet-released tracks leading up to the release of their debut album 'Widow Chamber' in 2001.

This drew the attention of the German Noitekk label, who released their second album 'Blunt Force Trauma' in 2002. Aslan Faction would go on to play a number of relatively high-profile festival slots, as well as their first show in the USA. The project has been less active in recent years, Anthony Mather concentrating on his role in Tactical Sekt. Lee Lauer, meanwhile, has a project with Karen King called Killing Ophelia as well as a solo project Cygore.
