[edit] Ask a chola

The article Ask a chola has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. J Milburn 00:47, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

On another note, you may want to take a read of this guideline. J Milburn 00:48, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Right, if you want help (and I have been here a long time, I can help you) it is not in your best interests to casually slag me off. I delete articles which do not meet our policies- yes, we can be edited by anyone, but we are not anarchy. We have policies and guidelines which it is usually best to follow. No, I admit, I have never heard of you, but when I am patrolling new articles, it isn't likely I have heard of any of the artists, comedians, places, whatever. That is why we cite articles to reliable sources. Now, I deleted the article you wrote because it did not show that your podcast met our notability guidelines on the subject. If the podcast has been written about in magazines, and the write ups count as reliable sources, then it is notable. Generally, however, we do not write about projects with which we are associated, as explained in this guideline. However, if you are certain that you can adhere to the neutral point of view, please feel free to rewrite the article, but remember to cite what you say to multiple, independent, significant reliable sources, as explained in the various pages I linked to above. If I can be of any help, feel free to contact me. J Milburn 01:14, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
