Askeet is an online knowledge market. The site's visitors can post a question about any subject, or answer an existing question. Questions and answers can be rated, so that the site displays the most interesting questions and the most useful answers first. The whole site is powered by AJAX.
Askeet is also an open source software developed in PHP. Download, adaptation, and commercial distribution are free, according to the MIT license. Askeet can be used for an FAQ section on an intranet, or a community knowledge base. The development of Askeet took place as the result of a 24-day tutorial called the symfony advent calendar, and issued on December 2005 to illustrate agile development of a web 2.0 application in PHP with the symfony framework.
