[edit] Notability/verifiability/references/links

I have placed a notability and references tag as this article may not meet notability standards. Adding references may help to establish notability. My concern is that most of the edits appear to be from a single source and that source has removed the notability tags in the past. If other independent editors can establish notability for this individual, please indicate it here in the discussion and add references. The article also needs clean-up. I don't want to engage in an edit war on this page. I think references are required and I do not think notability has been established as a single quote from a news organization does not necessarily indicate notability in one's field. In addition, my notability tag has been removed multiple times by the same editor who appears to be the primary editor of this page given the number of changes and reverts that have been made. I would appreciate it if another editor could weigh in on this and independently establish notability.

Looking at the article, I see a claim of notability with his editorship. However, the referencing style makes it difficult to determine the sources for the claim, and bare links are not an acceptable style per the WP:MOS. I've tagged the article {{citation style}} until that improvement is made. I'll set one up as a template. —C.Fred (talk) 17:09, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Amend: I've vetted all the links in the main text. Only one was usable as a reference. The others were general links to the projects in question and did not mention Chaudry. As a result, the article is now tagged with {{refimprove}}: it has only one reference, and that reference does not establish the subject's notability. —C.Fred (talk) 17:21, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
