There is an Asian Art Museum on the mall of the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. as well, although perhaps that is not its official name. It is underground, adjacent to the also underground African Art Museum, in the garden behind the Smithsonian Castle (original building).

ok, probably we should rename this Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. I only did it this way because of an extant link. I'll do a rename, and create a disambiguation page. seglea 06:41, 17 Dec 2003 (UTC)
A tad bit of research, and I think I was mistaken about the name. Whereas I've always known it as the Asian Art Museum, that doesn't appear to be its name. I'll revise the link.
