Asian Tribune

The Asian Tribune is an online newspaper that provides news and editorial on the current affairs of Asia, with a special emphasis on South Asia but mostly concentrates its news on the current Civil conflict in Sri Lanka.
Publication began in 2002 and was based in Bangkok, Thailand [1] and has currently moved to Sweden. [2]

The editor, K.T. Rajasingham, a minority Sri Lankan Tamil, is a journalist who once worked for Sri Lanka's Daily News newspaper. He was a politician in Sri Lanka[3]. He unsuccessfully ran for the Sri Lanka Freedom Party in the Jaffna peninsula during the 1970s in opposition to the TULF party[4] Apparently death threats have been issued against him allegedly by a paramiltary group from Sri Lanka[5]
