The Asia University of Japan (亜細亜大学 Ajia Daigaku?) is a private university located in Tokyo that offers courses in Business Administration, Economics, Law and International Relations. The Asia University was formed in 1941 as the Koa Senmon Gakko--Koa Professional School with the belief that education should be based on a spiritual closeness between teachers and students.

Founded in 1941 by Kozo Ota. In 1941, Koa Senmon Gakko--Koa Professional School opened its doors on the site of the present Asia University campus. The school was founded with the underlying belief that education should be based on a spiritual closeness between teachers and students. It was a unique school at the time, as it accommodated all students in dormitories divided by course of study; Continental Asia, Southern Pacific Islands and the Homeland.

It shares its name with another university located in Taiwan.

Home of the Center for English Education (CELE). The Asia University (AU) Center for English Language Education is a department at Asia University, located in Musashino-shi, Tokyo, Japan. Serving the university since 1989, CELE was founded by former AU President Professor Shinkichi Eto. CELE employs 22 native English speakers as full-time lecturers. These positions have one year renewable contracts that are renewable for a maximum of 5 years. After the five year period is complete the lecturer is not offered a renewal under any circumstances. This system is common in Japan and has been criticized by the University Teachers Union among others.
