Asia Pacific College was established in 1991 as a non-profit joint-venture between IBM Philippines and the SM Foundation. Envisioned as a learning institution that produces graduates that fulfill Information Technology industry demands, the scope of Asia Pacific College has since expanded beyond IT skills and now has degree programs for Multimedia Arts and Accountancy. Asia Pacific College emphasises industry-academe links, orienting their programs and faculty towards industry needs.
In addition to its undergraduate offerings, APC has established a Graduate School of Information Management, which involves 36 units of coursework covering a wide spectrum of IT and IM subjects.
Recently, Asia Pacific College was named as one of the Top 9 Centers of Excellence for Information Technology in the Philippines by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
