Asia Business News (ABN) was a business news channel by Dow Jones and Company. It was founded in 1993 and it was based in Singapore. In 1998, the channel merged with NBC's CNBC Asia with most of ABN's programmes and presenters migrating to the new channel as well. [1] [2] The merged channel was initially named CNBC Asia Business News but in June 1998 it was simply referred to as CNBC Asia. Since the merger, CNBC Asia has been operating from ABN's former headquarters in Singapore.
