The AsiaWorld-Expo is one of the two major convention and exhibition facilities in Hong Kong along with Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. AsiaWorld-Expo is located in the northeast corner of Chek Lap Kok island, Hong Kong, where the Hong Kong International Airport is located. It is operated by AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited and was opened on 21 December 2005 by Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of Hong Kong.
At a construction cost of HK$2.35 billion, AsiaWorld-Expo offers over 70,000 square metres of rentable space, including 10 exhibition halls and the 13,500 seat AsiaWorld-Arena for exhibitions, conventions, concerts, sports and entertainment events.

- A Citywide Christmas Celebration (24 December 2005), hosted by Christian organisation City Renewal. It was the first large scale event held at AsiaWorld-Expo. Deputy CEO of AsiaWorld-Expo Allen Ha offered free venue space for the host organisation. This event was sponsored by the MTR Corporation, and Airport Express was designated the official railway of the event.
- Hong Kong Spring Fair (10 January-13 January 2006); the first exhibition held at the venue.
- Chan Po Chu & HKCO (4 February 2006), a concert featuring Hong Kong artist Chan Po Chu and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra; the first live performance at the Arena of AsiaWorld-Expo featuring an Asian artist.
- ITU Telecom World 2006 (4 December-8 December 2006), hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU); the first time the conference is held in any city other than Geneva, Switzerland.
- Asian Aerospace 2007 was held here from 3 September to 6 September. It was previously held in Singapore only. The exhibition included an Airbus A380 flying low over Victoria Harbour at 8am on 3 September 2007. [1]

- Passengers can enjoy a free interchange from E11, E21, E22, E22A, E22P from AsiaWorld-Expo towards Airport to routes A11, A12, A21, A22, E23 towards city centre.
- Passengers can enjoy a free interchange from E32, E41 from AsiaWorld-Expo towards Airport to routes E31, E33, E34, E42, A31, A33, A41, A41P, A43 towards New Territories.
- AsiaWorld-Expo special services towards Urban area, which will depart 15 minutes after major cultural events have ended:
- X11 (towards Causeway Bay (Moreton Terrace), via Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and Cross Harbour Tunnel)
- X22 (towards Lam Tin MTR Station, via Jordan Road, Hung Hom, To Kwa Wan, Kowloon City and Kwun Tong)
