[edit] Welcome to the Wikipedia: Physics Project

Ashleh, welcome to the WP: Physics Project. I am a fellow Physics Wikipedian and I'll be glad to assist you if I can. You'll find many resources that allow you to edit or support articles related to your interests. Since you're in high school with an aptitude and interest in this field I would highly encourage you spend some time looking over the "big" articles such as Physics, Light, Gravity, Electromagnetism, Big Bang, etc. to get an idea of the general Wikipedia approach to physics articles, and to compare the content with what you know from your education - see if there is anything you can improve or add. Here is a compiled list of some of the most important articles on physics in Wikipedia. And don't be afraid to make bold edits, as long as they are in the spirit of the Wikipedia Five Pillars, especially if you have verifiable sources cited. Here is a style guide for you as well. Enjoy! [edit] License tagging for Image:Green Day collage.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Green Day collage.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Total re-write of the main Physics page is in progess

You might like to join us at Physics/wip where a total re-write of the main Physics page is in progess. At present we're discussing the lead paragraphs for the new version, and how Physics should be defined. I've posted here because you are on the Physics Project participant list. --MichaelMaggs 08:04, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
