Sherburne-Earlville Central School

Sherburne-Earlville Central School is a public school which is located in Sherburne New York. Sherburne is located in upstate New York. My name is Ashley and I am an Alumni from Sherburne-Earlville. I attended the elementary school, middle school, and high school. I was able to watch the school grow, and it is a district that I am proud of.

The campus consists of two buildings. One building is the elementary school, which consist of levels from pre-kindergarten to the fifth grade. The second building is the middle school, high school. The middle school is located on the second floor of the building and ranges from sixth grade to eighth grade. The high school is on the first floor and ranges from freshman to seniors.

The middle school and high school offer an array of different sports. Some being, field hockey, soccer, swimming, baseball, softball, basketball, cross country, track and field, football, wrestling, bowling and cheerleading. The schools mascot is the wolf, and is referred to as the Marauders. There are three different sports levels, modified, junior varsity, and varsity. Modified consist of students who are in middle school. Junior varsity and varsity consist of students who are mainly in high school. However, being as how SECS is a smaller school district, some of the sport teams are limited in the amount of players they have.

The high school also offers many different subject courses and also “free” electives. If a student wants to go to college, say for biology, if their schedule permits it, they could take extra science classes. Not only does SEHS offer high school level courses, they also offer a few college level courses. For example some college level courses that are offered at this public school are: AP English, AP Biology, AP Economics, AP Calculus.

The teachers at Sherburne-Earlville are well liked by their students. The teaching staff is willing to help each and every one of their students if they are having difficulty with the course material. Most of the teachers will even stay after to help their students. They are very kind and caring.

This is just a brief overview about some of the things that Sherburne-Earlville offers their students. If you would like to find out more about the school distract go to [1].
