Hi, I'm Ash. I'm still finding my way around editing Wikipedia (even though I've been member for a while now) but essentially enjoy cleaning up and expanding the odd article every now and again. So, as a Wikipedian, I guess I identify as something between a WikiFairy and a WikiSloth. I sprinkle the odd fairy dust when I can be arsed, basically!

I was born in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Frankston, Victoria in Australia. I received my secondary education at Monterey Secondary and Scotch College. During my gap years - prior to university - I was employed as a Japanese film importer in my hometown, and later as an assistant park ranger on the neighbouring Mornington Peninsula.

I began my tertiary education at Swinburne University and its specialist school, the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA), where I completed my foundation studies in Business and trained in Circus Arts; specialising in acrobatics. Following my initial tertiary education, I've since commenced a double degree in Media and Multimedia at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).

I'm also continuing my training in circus arts (at NICA and now also with Circus Oz) and am concurrently completing my foundation studies in Film and Television at the University of Melbourne's elite art school, the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). I'm also currently employed as a ride operator at Melbourne's Luna Park.

My general interests include: world cinema, performing arts, architecture and Australian politics, as well as international politics. I'm a keen sailor - a love which began after sailing on the STS Young Endeavour during my youth - and enjoy bushwalking and rock climbing. I also occasionally row and train in the Japanese martial art form, Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.
