Forgive me for I have not actually corroborated and verified my assertions from actually reading the text of the novel but from what I remember of the novel and what it states about the relationship between Ashley Wilkes and Scalette O'Hara, Wilkes never ever lead O'Hara to believe that he liked or loved her. Perhaps the movie version of the book paints or portrays a picture such as you describe but alas from my memory I remember no such thing as what you state.--210.54.78.174 11:27, 3 May 2004 (UTC)katabolic kivi

This article is far from neutral. It does not give much information at all but simply whining opinions.

I was reading GWTW last night and in Part 3 Chapter 29, a letter is addressed to Melanie as "Mrs George Ashley Wilkes Care Miss Sarah Jane Hamilton" I had never realised that Ashley's name was in fact George, but I think I have a first edition copy so is this in all editions of the book? (I google searched "george ashley wilkes" and got only 76 entries compared to the thousands if not millions I think I would have got for searching ashley wilkes) But anyway I think this fact should be mentioned here somewhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.153.96.219 (talk) 21:23, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
