Talk:Ashikaga Yoshinori

[edit] Akamatsu Sadamura
The following was temporarily removed from the text because it lacks the verifiable support of an in-line citation. Without more, this could be merely spurious:
- Like most shoguns, he practiced the shudo tradition, taking Akamatsu Sadamura as his wakashu. A number of Ashikaga shoguns chose their beloveds from the Akamatsu family.
- Yoshinori was assassinated in 1441, by Akamatsu Mitsusuke in the Kakitsu Rebellion. This is thought to have been precipitated by his attempt to take Mitsusuke's lands in order to grant them to his beloved Sadamura.

These bare statements, standing alone, are inadequate without more -- without some sort of better developed context and possible internal links to other articles in Wikipedia ...? --Tenmei (talk) 02:31, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Killed on his birthday?
This "factoid" seems unimportant, but it apparently mattered enough to someone at some point. The idea has been moved here temporarily:
- List of people who died on their birthdays --Yoshinori killed on his 47th birthday
If anyone wants to develop this idea further ...? --Tenmei (talk) 17:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
