[edit] How can this be a free image?
I'm just wondering, how would we get a free image of this, reasonably? I honestly think that this is the best wikipedia is going to get. Are there any suggestions, preferably from the person who placed the fair use tag? I'm kind of bewildered. Wrad 23:34, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
This is an irrepeatable historic event (when used to illustrate that moment on the show, as opposed to identifying her in the article about her) and can be kept on those grounds. Daniel Case
It looks as though the user who placed the tag was going through American Idol photos, placing tags like this (most of them rightly placed) and mistakenly placed one on this page, not recognizing its special nature, which I believe exempts it. People should be able to get free pictures of AI contestants, but to get one of this girl would be almost impossible and kind of pointless, because it is her moment in the show that makes her notable and that is discussed on the AI page. Another photo would not be relevant. Wrad 15:59, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Unless there is someone who sat in front of her, turned around, snapped a cell phone picture of her crying at the right moment, who also happened to be a contributor to Wikipedia, and uploaded the image, I think we're going to have to use this one. That scenerio seems highly unlikely. hmwithtalk 17:02, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
