Ashwood Secondary College is situated in the suburb of Ashwood, Australia.
Originally made up of Ashwood High School and Jordanville Technical School, Ashwood Secondary College was created after a merger in 1988. This has meant the Ashwood Secondary College offers a wide range to technical subjects, along with more traditional subjects. In more recent times, the curriculum has expanded to include an extensive arts program.
Recently Ashwood College has received a grant to build a performing arts center. This will be located on the Vannam Drive side of the school connecting to its school multi-purpose hall. This Facility will provide Ashwood with a greater ability to run its high quality performing arts productions and musical performances.
Also last year they started a new 'I Can' program through the Year 9 Grades. This program allows students to perform in more practical activities to learn such as Dance, Self defense, Going into nursing homes and into the Grand Prix with the teachers and a few year 11 students (as required).
